Bike Block Party

What a great day to serve the people of Southwest Saginaw with the joy of the Lord!  Over 200 people came under the theme of a bike block party!  Children and their families experienced much needed bicycle repair, along with a bike obstacle course.  11 Fun  Stations, which  included a bouncy house, bubbles and balloon animals.  Why a Bicycle Block Party? 40 percent of people in this area, which includes children, youth and adults, depend on a bicycle for their primary transportation, due to a variety of life issues. Most importantly, they received Jesus!  Lucy (puppet) shared a relevant story of how God took her bicycle accident to show her that Sparkey needed loving kindness and forgiveness from Lucy.  After all God loves us, no matter what and God is asking us to do the same!  God says good job, when we love everyone with kindness!  The smiles of the children and families, said it all, “God Loves You!”  If you have a used children, youth or adult bike that works or needs repair, could you donate it to someone in need?  You can drop them off at New Heart UMC 1802 W Michigan Ave, Saginaw. Questions – Pastor Melene 989-839-4798.  A BIG thank you to Frankenmuth UMC and Midland 1st UMC for their bicycle repair and support, along with the Central Bay District of UMC!
