The position of the administrative assistant is a vital part of the overall ministry of a church and the congregation. They are the gatekeeper, bridge-builder, keeper of the “information”, soother of wounded feelings, and deliverer of unwanted news. They are the person who has Their finger on the pulse of your congregation and your community. They are the person people will come to for answers. They are the one consistent in the wonderfully crazy church we are all a part of.
So, I ask you, when has your administrative assistant, secretaries or office managers, taken that time to refresh themselves? To be renewed and refilled spiritually? If they have not, then it is time to start thinking about having them attend the MI-AIM Annual Retreat this August. The literal meaning of retreat is to withdraw. It is spiritual in nature and its purpose is to get closer to God. It is a way to discuss one’s faith. It is the definite time spent away from normal or routine life to reconnect with God. As Christians and Admins, a retreat is a way for us to reconnect with our spiritual foundations. At this year’s retreat our theme is R.E.S.T. (Renew, Educate, Spiritual/Simplify, Together). Our goal is to shower each attendee with love, grace and peace. Bring new ideas and knowledge on how to simplifying aspects of their daily tasks and responsibilities.
We will be lifting you and your staff in prayer in hopes that you will be encouraged to have your Administrative Assistant (paid or volunteer) attend this year’s retreat.
If you have any questions please contact me.
This will be a great experience in which they will enjoy.
