Spend Less on Energy and More on Mission

Michigan Interfaith Power & Light and Consumers Energy are partnering to offer faith communities two opportunities to save on energy bills:

Light the Way involves free energy upgrades + a walk-through energy assessment to faith communities with Consumers service for electric. On average, participating congregations receive more than $1,000 in free upgrades and, as a result of the LED lighting and other energy efficient upgrades, are saving over $500 on annual energy expenses.  Download the flyer >>>

The House of Worship Rewards program is a fundraising opportunity for houses of worship. It involves hosting an energy education workshop and then, depending upon the number of congregants who avail themselves of a free home energy analysis within a 90-day time period, each participating congregation can earn $500 – $2,000.  Download the flyer >>>

Participating in Light the Way and the House of Worship Rewards program is a great way for congregations to put their faith into action—to become better stewards of God’s Creation, while also being good stewards of their own financial resources.

Participation is limited on a first come, first served basis. For more information and to sign-up, please visit the Michigan IPL website or contact Jennifer Young at (248) 463-8811 or [email protected].
